The next evolution of your business starts with the human driving it.
True North works with both. We strengthen the state, judgement and leadership behind the decisions, then take that clarity into strategy, structure, people, performance and execution.
From start-up and scale-up to stabilisation and sale, the business evolves. The need for clear judgement does not.
Every business is two systems.
Human Performance. The state you bring into the room. Your self-awareness. Your relationship with yourself. How you self-regulate under pressure, relate to others and lead effectively when the answer is not obvious. It shapes your judgement, your behaviour and every decision that follows.
Commercial Performance. The commercial system those decisions land into. The strategy, offer, pricing, structure, performance, systems and execution that determine how the business creates value, retains it and grows.
Business Performance. The result when the two systems work together in sync. People who can think clearly and lead effectively, operating inside a business designed to turn good decisions into measurable outcomes.
Human Performance × Commercial Performance = Business Performance
For sole traders, founders, owners, boards, leadership teams, and anyone accountable for the result.
25 years inside the decisions that evolve businesses.
Mark has led across the full business lifecycle, from start-up and scale-up through stabilisation, acquisition, integration, turnaround and sale. He has carried the P&L, led teams, worked with boards, launched brands and built industry-changing partnerships across global markets.
He is currently Chair of the Board at ANB, the Australasian Natural Bodybuilding Federation, established in 1983.
The record proves Mark consistently delivers. The human method shows how he works.
Three doors. The same conversation behind each of them.
Performance has stalled, the structure has been outgrown, or the next stage needs building before growth arrives. I have a growth readiness problem.

The Business Performance Review
For 60 minutes, the noise stops. You have the room to share what is really happening, without judgement and without needing to perform.
I listen, ask the questions that need asking and help separate the immediate pressure from the likely priority. We make sense of your result, test what deserves closer attention and put the next steps in order.
Leave knowing what matters first, and whether the paid Assessment is actually required.

Build the structure, systems and commercial discipline required to grow without pressure overwhelming performance. Controlled growth readiness mapping.
- 03StabilisationControl•Clarity•Breathing space
Establish the facts, identify the constraints and restore control, then rebuild from a position of strength.
- 04SaleValue•Readiness•What comes next
Prepare for the scrutiny of the DD process, reduce dependency and risk pre exit, and face the human reality of letting go and deciding what comes next.
The business evolves at every stage. The need for clear judgement remains consistent.

The questions worth asking.
01What does it cost?
The Business Health Check is free. The Business Performance Review is complimentary and offered where it is likely to be useful.
If the paid Business Fitness Assessment or other work would help, the scope, outcome and commercial arrangement are agreed clearly before anything begins. We meet you where you are today.
02Is my business too small?
No. Size alone does not decide whether the work can help. A sole trader can be starting, scaling, stabilising or preparing for sale just as surely as a larger business.
03Is this coaching?
No. This is bespoke business performance work. Mark is a commercial operator with deep experience of how state, self-awareness and self-regulation shape judgement, leadership and execution. The work may begin with the human, but it must produce meaningful results in the business.
04Does True North work across industries?
Yes. Fitness, health and performance are a major part of Mark’s operating history, however not a boundary around the work. He also applied the model successfully in residential property development as CEO and Executive Chairman. The sector changes. The framework with precision does not.
05What happens to my Health Check answers?
Your answers produce a result. At the end, you choose whether to send your reading and notes to Mark through WhatsApp.
The Privacy page explains what the final website processes, what may be counted and what happens when you choose to get in touch.
06How quickly can we begin?
Begin with the Business Health Check. If your result suggests a focused conversation would be useful, message me directly. I may then invite you to the Business Performance Review.
A clear path from insight to action.
Take 10 minutes. Answer questions about the business and the human driving it, then receive a reading at the end.
Send your reading to me through WhatsApp. Tell me what is really happening, and we will work out the right next conversation.
By invitation, a complimentary hour to test the likely priority and whether a paid Assessment should follow.
If you are not sure where to begin, take the Health Check or message me. Working that out is often the first useful conversation. mark@truenorthbymarkwelke.com
